Visual Developmental Characteristics

  • 0-3 Months: During this period, your baby has a black-and-white contrasting vision, sensitive to black and white objects and graphics.

  • 4-6 Months: During this period, your baby feels more and more intense about color, which is most sensitive to red. He/She can divide the color into four ranges of red, yellow, blue and green, and initially have stereoscopic vision.

  • 7-9 Months: During this period, your baby's vision has developed rapidly. Your baby grows up from lying down to sitting up, representing the baby's vision range from 2D to 3D, and gradually recognizes the depth of the color and begins to have color discrimination ability.

  • 10-12 Months: During this period, your baby begins to connect the vision and the sense of touch, and had a good sense of space.

  • 13-15 Months: During this period,baby's vision is fully developed, and baby is able to observe the contours of the surrounding things more clearly.

  • 16-18 Months: With numbers of pratices and ability growth, baby is able to distinguish not only common items but even more complex and micro visual resolution.


Precautions

  • 0-3 Months: Cards should be shown to baby from different angles, but no more than 45 degrees.

  • 4-6 Months: When your baby is four months, there will be a tendency of cross-eyed situation. Parents need to take your baby to the hospital if cross-eyed last over five month old.

  • 7-9 Months: Parents should enhance baby's visual ability through food supplements such as animal liver, cod liver oil, and carrots containing vitamin A.

  • 10-12 Months: Dont't move card too fast, when you show card to baby.

  • 13-15 Months: In order to improving the baby's color resolution, parents should hang
